Full T1 / DS1 or Fractional T1

A T1 circuit has been the standard for business Internet connectivity throughout the United States since the 1960’s. T1’s are stable and dependable and offer speeds of 1.544 Mbps. T1s provide symmetrical data throughput for both up and down stream data traffic. Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that cover uptime, latency, and packet loss are available. T1s are one of the building blocks for MPLS and IP VPN networks which allow businesses to connect their locations in the US and internationally into one seamless, private network for data, voice, and video.

Although most restaurant and retail enterprises find that T1 connectivity throughout their footprints is too costly, Fractional T1’s, offer the reliability advantages of full T1’s while being scaled down to accommodate budget constraints. If more bandwidth is needed in the future to accommodate larger applications, additional channels can be provisioned up to 24 channels, for a total of 1.54Mbps.
