Private Line / Point to Point
Private lines connect two locations that have high voice and/or data traffic between each other. Law offices, engineering firms and manufacturing concerns are good examples. While many businesses use the public internet or metro Ethernet rings to power their data and voice networks, Private Lines are still very prevalent. Unlike Frame Relay, ATM and IP-VPNs, where data traverses Layers 2 or 3 of the public internet, Private Lines are designed to transmit sensitive voice and data traffic directly between locations.
Private lines are flexible solutions, supporting T1 (1.544Kbps) to OC-192 (10 Gbps) internet connectivity between locations. Various features and terms are available from our carriers including; 24x7 network management and monitoring, consolidated voice and data billing, and SONET architectures.
